Technological solutions such as genetically modified crops, gene editing, and bio-inputs are becoming increasingly critical. Alongside digital tools, solar irrigation, and post-harvest innovations, this session will highlight the need for an enabling policy and research environment that supports both innovation and last-mile adoption.

Long-term agricultural productivity and climate resilience depend heavily on the health of our soil and the availability of water, both of which are under increasing pressure. Maharashtra, with its diverse agro-climatic zones and heavy reliance on rainfed farming, is witnessing declining soil fertility, falling groundwater tables, and increased vulnerability to droughts.
